Please note the ASU Executive MPA Program is postponed indefinitely. We encourage you to consider the ASU (traditional) MPA Program (https://spa.asu.edu/mpa), which also can be completed online if students register for courses when offered online.

Executive MPA Program Overview

The ASU Executive MPA Program is designed for public sector leaders throughout the world. You will participate in the program as part of a learning cohort, and the one-course-at-a-time online structure will enable you to maintain a work/life balance as you immerse yourself in each topic. Some courses will include Saturday morning Zoom sessions to further enhance the executive cohort learning experience. For Fall and Spring courses, you can expect an average of 18 hours of coursework per week. For Summer courses, you can expect an average of 22.5 hours of coursework per week.

Executive Sessions

Your learning experience will begin with an orientation and executive session in Phoenix. You'll meet your classmates, the faculty, and staff. Approximately one year later, your class will reconvene in Washington, D.C. for a second executive session, allowing you to further develop relationships with your classmates. The Executive MPA Program will end in Phoenix, where you will present your applied projects.

Student Services

The Executive MPA staff will work with you to provide the resources and support you need to be successful throughout the program, including:

  • Course registration
  • Textbook delivery
  • Billing and deadline reminders
