Jacob Moore’s primary role is to develop, enhance, and sustain collaborative partnerships between Arizona State University and tribal nations and Indigenous communities locally, regionally, and globally. An equally important role is to work with the Special Advisor to the President on American Indian Affairs to increase the recruitment, retention, and the graduation rates of American Indian students and to increase the number of American Indian faculty and academic programs.
Mr. Moore is a former president and member of the Arizona State Board of Education, and currently serves on boards of directors for the Morrison Institute, WestEd, the Arizona Community Foundation, Touchstone Behavioral Health, and the Arizona Minority Education Policy Analysis Center (AMEPAC). Jacob was most recently the managing partner of Generation Seven Strategic Partners, LLC, and previously worked as an Economic Development Analyst and Special Assistant on Congressional and Legislative for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. Jacob also had a 14-year career in consumer banking. Mr. Moore earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and an Executive MBA from the Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey College of Business and is an enrolled member of the Tohono O’odham Nation.
