Professional Development for Public Service

A center within the School of Public Affairs in the College of Public Service and Community Solutions, Bob Ramsey Executive Education is dedicated to improving the effectiveness of the people and organizations that serve communities. Through the center's programs and seminars, public service professionals can enhance their management and leadership competencies.

The Center delivers the only accredited Certified Public Manager®Certified Municipal Clerk, and Master Municipal Clerk programs in the State of Arizona. The Center also manages the ASU Executive Master of Public Administration graduate degree program, as well as the ASU cohorts for the U.S. Department of State’s Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders and Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative Civic Engagement Institute. The Center also is ASU’s project lead for the U.S. Department of State’s Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative.

The Center also is available to assist state, county, municipal, and tribal organizations with the implementation of their staff development initiatives.

Hector Zelaya has been at Arizona State University since 2004 and has been Director of Bob Ramsey Executive Education since 2012.

Prior to Bob Ramsey Executive Education, Hector served in various executive education roles – eight years at the W. P. Carey School of Business at ASU, two years at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and eight years at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wharton and a Master of Business Administration from W. P. Carey.

Linda has been with Bob Ramsey Executive Education since 2007 and at ASU since 2006. In addition to her responsibilities as Senior Program Manager and Center Manager, Linda is the Institute Director for the Municipal Clerks Institute and Municipal Clerks Academy.  Linda earned two degrees from ASU: a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Business Management and Public Administration/Public Management and a Master of Higher and Postsecondary Education.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts from Illinois State University, a Masters from the University of New Mexico, and a PhD from Arizona State University.

Sheri holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Tourism Management from Arizona State University and a Masters from Arizona State University in Social Justice and Human Rights.
