Who Is Bob Ramsey?
Bob Ramsey is a member of a family that has been involved in the heart and soul of Arizona since the 1920s. The scope of their interests are both broad and deep, including issues such as medical care, political activism, civil rights, social justice, religious care of prisoners and the mentally ill, education, First Nations and immigration issues, and access to emergency services.
Bob Ramsey was largely responsible for creating pioneering, statewide systems for ambulance service and pre-hospital care for the delivery of emergency medical services. He developed the enabling legislation and the public-private partnerships to implement, what was to become, one of the most creative and successful systems in the nation. Because Bob understands that strong partners in the public sector are necessary for effective public-private partnerships, he seeks to ensure ongoing high-quality education and training for public administrators. We thank Bob for his generosity.
