CPM Classroom ProgramCertified Public Manager

 

The Certified Public Manager® Program is offered in a classroom format each year. Classes are scheduled one day per week, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, over the span of 9 months.  Additional coursework will be assigned before and after class.

Optional College Credits

Through Arizona State University's School of Public Affairs, the Certified Public Manager Program® (CPM) is potentially eligible for up to the following:

  1. nine credits of undergraduate credit or
  2. six credits of graduate credit

Can I still take the CPM as a non-credit program?

Yes. Each course is available for credit or non-credit. Participants who want credit will register separately after completing each CPM course.

Bob Ramsey Executive Education is the only nationally accredited provider of the Certified Public Manager® (CPM) credential in Arizona. The ASU Certified Public Manager® Program is accredited by the National CPM Consortium and is designed to develop the effectiveness of municipal, county, state, tribal, and federal public managers. Over 100 public managers earn the CPM designation through ASU each year. The program is available in both a classroom and an online format.

Effective change initiatives occur when there’s alignment between an organization and its building blocks, such as people, culture, tasks, organizational structure, and work processes.

Fostering Citizen Participation Beyond the Public Meeting

Public officials, administrators, and citizens are increasingly aware that the traditional “3-minutes-at-the-microphone” public meeting model is no longer a sufficient or satisfying way of conducting business. In recent years, governments and communities have responded to these concerns by developing innovative approaches to engaging citizens and encouraging public participation in governance.
